PART TIME BREWERY ASSISTANT – 3 Month Fixed Contract

We’re looking for a part-time brewery assistant to join our brewery team based at Rosemains Steading, a friendly community of makers and producers surrounded by beautiful countryside. Working as part of our production team, you’ll be responsible for supporting the brewers to carry out the day-to-day brewery operations, including helping out on brew days, canning, pasteurising, packing orders and keeping the place looking ship shape! We are looking for a motivated individual to help out over the next 3 months to ensure we maintain our reputation for brewing some of the world’s best alcohol-free beers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reporting to the Head Brewer, but working under direction from the Brewing team, help maintain our 20HL brewhouse, canning machine and pasteurisation equipment.
  
• Carry out general brewery tasks, including but not limited to cleaning and maintaining equipment, canning and pasteurising beer.
  
• Packing cans into boxes to supply both our customer and trade orders.
  
• Maintaining a high level of cleanliness around the brewery and with the equipment used.
  
• Following procedures and keeping up to date records.
  
• Occasional evening and weekend work representing the business at commercial events, beer festivals, farmer’s markets etc.
  

EXPERIENCE

• No previous brewery work experience is required for this role, but an interest in brewing or non-alcoholic beer is encouraged.
  
• We will provide any onsite training required for the role.

• Flexible and hardworking with the confidence to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Self-motivated with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
• Organised and tidy.
• An element of manual handling and lifting is involved in this role.
• Full UK Driving license essential.
  

OTHER DETAILS
Annual Salary: £ 14,742 (based on 22.5 hours a week) 
Part time – 3 days between Monday -Friday (possible occasional evening/weekend work for events.)
Start Date – November (3-month fixed term role)
Location – Rosemains Steading, Pathhead, Midlothian, EH37 5UQ
